This position oversees classroom management, plans academic lessons as well as organizes and leads activities designed to promote physical, mental and social development. Preschool Instructor will also supervise staff.

Position is eight hours per day (7:20 a.m. - 3:50 p.m.), five days per week and follows the school district calendar. Salary is for 195 days (185 work days and 10 paid holidays). Position receives full health benefits.

Classes or degree/license in Early Childhood Education (ECE) required. Applicants must also be highly qualified* under the reauthorized ESEA. Preference given to candidates with teaching license or those that have prior success working in a preschool or educational setting and experience supervising staff.

*(To be considered highly qualified, applicants must have a completed two years of study at an institution of higher education; or obtained an Associate’s (or higher) degree; or (c) passed an exam such as the Compass test which is offered at Clatsop Community College)
